A little bit about myself..
My name is Susan Jung, and I teach Grade 4 Leopards and Tigers as well as Grade 5 Elephants, Iguanas, and Rhinos at Bahrain Bayan School.
Educational Background: I grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago my entire life and received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a math concentration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I stayed on my college campus town and worked as a teacher. My first year I was a Pre-K teacher at a Montessori- based school and later on worked as an 8th grade Math and Language Arts teacher for a couple of years. During the summers I've taught all different age-levels (Pre-K, Kindergarten, First, Third, and Fourth). Recently I received my masters degree in Teaching English as a Second Language while teaching English to international adult students on my college campus.
Overseas Teaching Experience: In the summer of 2007, I went to Japan and taught English. Now I am currently in Bahrain teaching primary students in grades 4 and 5. This is my first time in the Middle East and loving it!
The picture to the left was taken at Christmas with two of my nieces!

Great job grades 4 & 5 students for a great academic school year! My one year here has flown by so quickly. My experience here in Bahrain has been so memorable because of each one of you! I hope you have a wonderful summer and best wishes for next school year. I will miss all of you very much, and please keep in touch!
